The Daily Mail reports:
Donald Trump was cultivated as a Russian asset more than 40 years ago which exploded into a decades-long ‘relationship’ of mutual benefit to both Russia and Trump, a shocking new book claims.
Trump was rescued multiple times from multiple bankruptcies by boatloads of Russian cash laundered through his real estate in the 80s and 90s, the author asserts. Russian money also picked up the tab for buildings franchised under Trump’s name.
An invitation to Russia by a high-level KGB official in 1987 under the guise of a preliminary scouting trip to build a Trump hotel in Moscow, was in fact ‘deep development’ by KGB handlers that furthered creating secret back channels and allowed the Russians to influence and damage American democracy, the author claims.

Probably the most frustrating part of this information is that Trump supporters will never see it. And even if they did? “Fake News!”
Contrary to the plaintive that the Democrats and the ‘liberal’ news sources are just out to ‘get Trump,’ the facts are there and have been disseminated via various sources again and again. But of course it’s just lies and propaganda to undermine the Great and Wonderful Leader!

Hello Nan. What bothers me is I knew about the Moscow thing in 1987. Ron was working for tRump then, and they were replacing all the Hispanic housecleaners and maids with Russian women. It was a thing that I had forgotten until Ron reminded me today. It is like all the mob ties I keep forgetting. Ron remembers. Plus according to the comment section there was a book out detailing all this in 2016 but the media ignored it to concentrate on Hillary’s email non scandal. Hugs

Scottie, little do ANY of us realize how much “stuff” is going on behind the scenes. And it pretty much all goes back to M.O.N.E.Y. — the ones that have it essentially rule what goes on … in ALL parts of the world. I think you’ve said it yourself … we’re merely pawns to those who control the world’s chessboards.

Hello Nan. I agree. What bothers me is how much of all this was known before he got into office. I am noticing how many white supremist indictments are coming out now, some held quietly since 2016 tRump couldn’t interfere or pardon. Please see my response to Keith where I detail some of tRump’s crime stuff. Hugs
OT. Had a pretty good day yesterday did not nap but went to bed early. Today had a dentist appointment and I am very tired, but even though Ron went for a nap I resisted to get stuff done on the computer. Sadly I am winding down now. I doubt I will last more than an hour or so. Hugs

Hope you continue to feel better! I mean … truly this CAN’T go on forever!
It isn’t just Trump, Scottie. But I think you know that. The entire world is ruled by oligarchs. What’s interesting is tRumpsky, for all his proclaimed wealth, is essentially no different than the rest of us. He too is controlled by them.

Scottie, as we have discussed, the truth is far worse than any of us could believe. Quite simply, after six corporate bankruptcies, US banks would not lend Trump any money. So, where did he get it? Plus, it is know that a good place to launder money is in real estate. Now, what is Trump’s prinicpal business? Keith

Hello Keith. As you know I talk about my spouse working for tRump. I know about the mob going in and out of Mar-a-largo. I know about some of the casino high roller deals that kept tRump afloat. A couple years ago I posted a great news article about tRump’s buildings in Panama and how it was crime ridden and money laundering for the mob. This was all well known. Only his being president at the time kept him from being charges.
So what bothers me is the members of congress that suddenly became tight with tRump such as McConnell who got huge donations to his campaign PACs in 2016 and a Russian oligarch invested in building an aluminum plant in Kentucky, and McConnell went from attacking tRump to supporting him. Rand Paul has taken large payments to his campaign from Russia made many trips to Russia, once to deliver a message envelope to Putin from tRump!

Sen. Rand Paul, center, and his communications director Sergio Gor, right, enter a hall during their meeting with Russian lawmakers in Moscow Monday.
Keith most people do not understand why tRump vetoed the defense bill. That is the news medias fault they concentrated on things like military bases named for confederacy. The real reason was the crack down on ways of money laundering in the bill. Some news reported that in 2018 ( I think ) tRump had set up a shell company with Jared to siphon money away from the campaign funds he was raising. They took over half a billion dollars and it is still untraceable. The new defense bill prevents and stops that. That is why tRump vetoed it. As you suggest money laundering was / is tRump’s big business. Yet he can not do that as easy and even DB understands this and has cut ties with him.
So with his business losing money, huge debts coming due, money laundering harder, where would he turn? Remember the last few months of his term there was a huge push, even on the threat of being fired, to get his lackies, some who served Deven Nunes, on to sensitive positions in the NSA, and all the intel agencies and even in the military itself. High ranking positions protected by civil servant rules, why? Either Putin required it or tRump planned to use the information from these people to sell to other countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia for money or favors. It is the only thing that makes sense. There is a clip of an interview some journalist did with Don Jr. in which he boasted that their money came from Russia.
We should remember the opinion the GOP leadership had of Trump in 2015. Every one of those now has a different opinion.
During the 2015-2016 election season, Ukrainian-born billionaire Leonard “Len” Blavatnik contributed $6.35 million to leading Republican candidates and incumbent senators. Mitch McConnell was the top recipient of Blavatnik’s donations, collecting $2.5 million for his GOP Senate Leadership Fund under the names of two of Blavatnik’s holding companies, Access Industries, and AI Altep Holdings, according to Federal Election Commission documents and OpenSecrets.org.
Marco Rubio’s Conservative Solutions PAC and his Florida First Project received $1.5 million through Blavatnik’s two holding companies.
Other high dollar recipients of funding from Blavatnik were PACS representing
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at $1.1 million,
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham at $800,000,
Ohio Governor John Kasich at $250,000
Arizona Senator John McCain at $200,000.
Marco Rubio $1.5 M
Trump Inaugural Committee
In January, Quartz reported that Blavatnik donated another $1 million to Trump’s Inaugural Committee. Ironically, the shared address of Blavatnik’s companies is directly across the street from Trump Tower on 5th Avenue in New York.
Oleg Deripaska is the founder and majority owner of RUSAL, the world’s second largest aluminum company, based in Russia. Len (Leonard) Blavatnik owns a significant stake in RUSAL and served on its Board until November 10, 2016, two days after Donald Trump was elected. RUSAL invested in an aluminum company in Kentucky, linked to the former Republican Governor, and of course, Mitch McConnell.
I suppose that is not all they have received, but what was necessary to report to the FEC. Why none of this is newsworthy, I don’t know. Trump is not the only one that Putin flipped. I also recall that Moscow Mitch got rid of the sanctions Obama had placed on Rusia. I would not be surprised to find a couple of Democrats in on the payola.

Essentially, all governments and their participants are ruled by $$$$$$. Anyone who thinks we-the-people are in control are living in a political dream world. Sad. Disgusting. Unthinkable. But true.

Hello Nan. Revolution and election funds / money laws. The constitution says we the people, not we the corporations, or we the wealthy. Yes I know I am yelling into the wind, but maybe the squirrels will hear me. Hugs

Hello Cagjr. I think that interview was with Eric and he was asked where their company was getting all the money for golf courses and he replied that they had all the money they needed from Russia and did not need any other country. Russia would give them all the money they needed. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/05/eric-trump-russia-investment-golf-course
Thank you for the name. I had just written a reply to Keith about McConnell and Russia but I couldn’t remember the name of the oligarch. I did not know how much was donated to all the Republicans.
WOW, no wonder these money grubbers went from better dead than red to anything Russian is great.
We need to tighten the election donation laws to make sure these kind of donations from foreign governments are not allowed and are illegal. Plus any attempts to circumvent them be reported far and wide. Thanks for the refresher. Hugs

There is a lot of pressure on a lot of current legislators to get Congress and the Justice department off Trump’s back. Between November 2016 and April 2017 a lot of enemies became close friends. Suddenly the former GOP which was hard against Russia, metamorphosed into BFFs. Remember the GOP Senator’s trip to Moscow. Just before the 2016 election. I think. Somebody check me out.

Hello Cagjr. You are correct. That was Rand Paul and he was delivering an envelope to Putin from tRump. At the time rumor was it was a money drop. Hugs

Hello Nan. Thank you for sharing that with me. I read it, posted it, printed it for Ron, he read it, we both watched the video. We are stunned. My question is how do those same people now let tRump off the hook for this? Ron said some of the Republicans were hoping that some of the Democrats would fall of get taken hostage. Ron said the terrorist were crazed. They were. They also did not understand their rights from their responsibilities and they somehow felt that their wants allowed them to break the laws. I admit I do not understand it. Hugs
