Really ill and nauseous since Wednesday

Hello Everyone.   Sitting up at my desk and hope to get a note dashed out to everyone.    I have been ill since Wednesday.  Wednesday and Thursday very nauseous and dizzy.    Very tired.  Pain in my back so bad it hurt to breathe.     Last week I had a visit with my primary and before that I had blood draws.   Maybe I picked up something.   Friday I did not feel so bad, was able to do some stuff on the computer, but very tired.    Today most of the day in bed, very sick.    Ron is making me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich then if it stays down back to bed.   I have not even managed to do the daily roundup.     Best wishes to all.   Hugs

    • Hello Nan. Thanks. It has been a very long week. The fatigue I have been fighting as you know. That seems to be getting better the last few days. The nausea was new and it wouldn’t stop. I couldn’t even stand up with out my head swimming and stomach going in to riot mode. I can fight the being tired, but not being sick and tired. 😀😄😁

The thing is when I am in bed I can not even read or watch stuff. I am so tired I sleep. If sitting up I get so tried I can not think, really struggle to function.

I went over the labs again. They show nothing. I still doubt this is related to apnea but I will do the sleep study. The thing is I have been too sick to call them. I plan on doing it tomorrow. Right now I want to go back to bed. But instead I am going to have coffee. Hugs

      • It does make you wonder if it’s possibly related to COVID. If I remember correctly, Ron tested positive, but you didn’t get tested — which means you could have had it and it’s one of the “lingering” cases. It doesn’t seem that illogical considering your health problems. Thing is … WHEN does it finally go away and you get back to normal???

        • Hello Nan. When we both had the flu this last fall Ron was tested and came back negative. So I did not get tested. I do not know when I will get back to normal. My primary did not even offer to give me any tests for seeing if I had Covid. The endocrinologist seems stuck on a sleeping problem, which I doubt but will do the tests. I did not have a fever the last week fighting this. Ron thinks I had a reaction to one of my blood pressure medications. I do not know. I have not felt well for so long it is really getting me down. It is hard to get up when I feel so much better sleeping. I will keep you informed. I think I am going to bed now, I am really tired again. Hugs

      • Whenever I get that feeling, it is hands-down a showstopper for me, too, Scottie.

I can put up with a certain amount of discomfort, but when I feel like I might go on an epic Linda Blaire barf-a-thon, I shut down too.

Feel better, take it easy, we’ll still be here when you are up to it.

      • I’m glad you liked that little poke. My empath is there, I just don’t do thoughts and prayers.

“I read somewhere that laughter reduces pain, increases job performance, connects people emotionally, and improves the flow of oxygen to the heart and brain. Laughter, it’s said, is the best medicine .”

I read that on the internet, so you know it’s true. 😀

    • Hello Recall369. I am feeling somewhat better. I have been fighting fatigue for months, but last week I suddenly came down with nausea and dizziness. I slept most of the time. I slept the entire weekend it seems. I hope the worst is over. Hugs

    • Hello Carmen. Thank you. It took me down a bunch. I have been fighting fatigue for months, they do not understand why I am so tired. But last week I got nausea and dizziness thrown in. I couldn’t stand up of move with out getting hit by it, and several times caused quite a mess. All I could do was lay down and sleep. I was feeling better yesterday and much better today. Still want to sleep but no sick feeling. Hugs

    • Hello Brendan. Thank you. For months I have been feeling deep fatigue. They are not sure why, but I was sleeping 16 to 18 hours a day at its worse. Then last week I got hit with nausea and dizziness every time I stood up or moved. That did me in for a week. But i am back to the keyboard and hopefully will keep improving. Best wishes. Hugs

    • Hello Polly. Thank you. It was a rough 6 or 7 days. I really suffered with nausea and dizziness. I have been suffering from really bad fatigue for months and still am fighting that. How are you doing? Best wishes. Hugs

  • Sometimes ramen noodles will help. The kind that comes in a styrofoam cup but you can’t nuke ’em. They are easy to slurp. They give a little boost.

    • Hello Richard. Thank you. I like the broth in them also, a good salt hit when you need it. I really did not eat much the last week. Mostly slept. I would love to go back to bed right now but I am fighting it. Hope you are well. Best wishes. Hugs

  • Hey, Scottie – we believe you are tougher than you think, which means you will be back on top instantly, if not sooner!
