Trump Campaign Flack: Voters Hate It When People “Make A Lot Of Money Trading On Their Family Name”

Trump Campaign Flack: Voters Hate It When People “Make A Lot Of Money Trading On Their Family Name”

ABC News reports:

Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace questioned Trump campaign senior advisor Jason Miller about the Trump campaign’s attacks on Democratic nominee Joe Biden in connection with his son Hunter’s work at Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, noting that two GOP-led Senate committees had cleared both men of any wrongdoing.

“The fact is Vice President Biden has actually released his tax returns, unlike President Trump and there’s no indication he’s gotten any money from anyone in these business deals,” Wallace noted.

In response, Miller cited a disputed New York Post story published last week about Hunter Biden and then invoked Hillary Clinton, saying “Voters hate it when people make a lot of money trading off of their family name.”

I have started to really hate the gaslighting from the tRump camp.   I have always hated lying, I think it is one of the few things I really get hung up on.   I hate that these people have made reality meaningless.   His base cult followers spout these accusations all the time not even caring about how tRump’s hell spawn is raking money hand over fist off his name and his presidency.   It is sickening to me.   Hugs

Barrett Lobs Anti-LGBT Dog Whistle In Senate Hearing

Barrett Lobs Anti-LGBT Dog Whistle In Senate Hearing

The Guardian reports:

Moments ago, Amy Coney Barrett was asked about Antonin Scalia’s criticism of the ruling that established the right for same-sex couples to marry. Again relying on the “Ginsburg rule,” Barrett declined to offer an opinion on Scalia’s criticism.

But she said, “I have never discriminated on the basis of sexual preference and would not ever discriminate on the basis of sexual preference.” Some commentators immediately took issue with Barrett’s use of the term “sexual preference” in reference to same-sex marriage.

The religious right may think they have won the fight with this religious extremist being on the SCOTUS.   But polls show that forcing this nomination is losing them a lot of support in the rest of the country.   People willing to give them space to have their view are now seeing how they not only want their place but take over everyone else’s.   This nomination will lead to court reform and more legislative laws enshrining legal rights for minorities the religious rights want to dominate and discriminate against.  The very way this is being done, the partisan nature of it, the pure power grab of the minority to force their will on the majority won’t stand.    But it will lead to a much more angry confrontations between people.  Hugs

NYPD Detains Black Lives Matter Activists For More Than 30 Hours On Low-Level Charges

Please read all the way to the bottom.   I added more comments at the end.   I know the videos are disturbing of police abusing and attacking people who had not done anything wrong before the police attacked.   The police officer in charge was clearly worked up, angry and itching to assault the protesters.   He made sure things escalated.   The police are acting like a gang now trying to protect their turf.

Notice in one video a guy simply standing there using his phone and a cop walks up and violently knocks it out of his hand to the ground.  Who has to pay for the damaged phone?  What right did the cop have to do that.   It would be an criminal offence non-police did it, it would be a crime if I did that to you.   Why is it OK for cops to treat the population like this, are they above the law?  Are they now the law, and we have no rights or justice?   Hugs

On the same night that NYPD officers stood by while protesters attacked civilians and a journalist during a Borough Park protest against COVID-19 restrictions, the police department arrested four Black Lives Matter activists in Bedford-Stuyvesant for low-level offenses and detained them for two nights before they were released.

Activists said that the arrests started when they tried to observe and film police officers, and spiraled out of control from there.

The evening began with a community meeting and dinner in Herbert von King Park, led by the group Abolition Park, who’d previously occupied the plaza outside city hall during the month of July, according to some who attended.

As dinner was wrapping up and most had left, the remaining activists got word there was a large police presence that had gathered nearby on Gates Avenue. Police confirmed they were trying to “secure the perimeter” of a nearby building, responding to reports of someone with a firearm.

Some of the activists started to film the officers on the scene, who then confronted them. Video shows one high-ranking NYPD officer slapping a phone out of an activist’s hand.

Moments later, 22-year-old Nia Peterson, who was separated from the group, was surrounded by officers as she tried to pass them on the sidewalk. Video posted to social media showed her trip while backing up and falling into a tree. As she clamors to her feet, officers close in and surround her while she screams, “Why are you arresting me?”

Hearing of her detention, a small remaining group of activists went to the 79th Precinct to demand her release. Two went inside to ask what had happened, according to 32-year-old Victoria, who declined to give her last name, and was waiting outside.

“We weren’t pushing. We weren’t being violent. We weren’t blocking the streets. We were standing on the sidewalk,” she said. “I really feel like it was a lawful assembly and we were applying pressure for the release of our friend.”

Vineeta, a 21-year-old activist who also declined to give her last name, had gone into the precinct to get information on the arrests, and said she was stonewalled by officers for several minutes before they started donning riot gear. She said that three officers grabbed her and dragged her out of the precinct. Outside, NYPD officers had surrounded the small group of activists with metal barricades and started shoving them. The NYPD confirmed they made three more arrests.

Police say 18-year-old Angel Rivera punched two officers and that they pepper-sprayed him while he resisted arrest. He was taken to Woodhull Hospital, according to the NYPD. Three NYPD officers were treated for injuries at Bellevue Hospital, two for punches, and one for a sprained ankle, after someone pushed them, the NYPD said.

But activists disputed the police department’s claims, saying Rivera had been violently attacked during his arrest. A video shared with Gothamist showed Rivera being tackled to the ground by two officers, while onlookers scream.

“They assaulted Angel,” said Vineeta. “He had his arms behind his back they were dragging him and punching him.”

Vineeta said she was shoved by an officer in riot gear, and the combination of that and watching her friend being attacked, physically sickened her.

“I was vomiting,” she said. “I saw them f*cking up Angel and my whole body went into shock.”

The four activists spent more than 30 hours in NYPD custody—first in the 79th Precinct and later at Brooklyn Central Booking, following their arrest Wednesday night. Three of them had been released on Friday, while Rivera was still in custody as of 5 p.m., according to activists and attorneys.

Peterson, whose arrest while attempting to film NYPD officers led to the confrontation outside the precinct, was released late Friday morning, after being arraigned on charges of obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct, and consumption of alcohol in public, according to activists and prosecutors.

A second activist, Emma Rehac, 18, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree for allegedly having a bottle of Adderall, according to a criminal complaint. Jaffari Williams Fox, 22, was also charged with obstruction. Angel Rivera, 18, was charged with assault, obstruction and harassment and had bail set at $5,000, according to prosecutors.

Janie Williams, a criminal defense attorney who was advocating for them before they were assigned a court-appointed lawyer at arraignment, said they spent over 20 hours in the precinct, before being transferred to Brooklyn Central Booking, which is virtually unheard of. In New York, defendants are supposed to be arraigned within 24 hours of being arrested for a crime.

Williams pointed out that three of the four protesters faced low-level charges and that the NYPD could have issued tickets and released them, instead of detaining them for more than a day. When Williams went to the 79th Precinct to serve papers invoking their rights to an attorney, she said she watched as police officers inside threw them into the trash.

“I have never seen that in my entire life,” Williams said. “They literally threw their constitutional rights in the garbage and had no problem doing that.”

Williams added she thought the excessively long detention was intentional.

“It’s deliberate hazing that seems to be taking place, specifically targeting this community,” she said. “They are deliberating targeting these young people.”

That same night, a violent demonstration was occuring in Borough Park, where a crowd of ultra-Orthodox Jewish protesters, egged on by right wing provocateur Heshy Tischler, attacked journalists and people perceived as dissenters in the crowd. During two nights of unrest, the NYPD issued no arrests or summonses, though the mayor has subsequently promised an arrest of those who attacked reporter Jacob Kornbluh.

The NYPD didn’t return a request for comment on how they handled the Borough Park protesters compared to Black Lives Matter demonstrations.

In mid-September, Mayor Bill de Blasio said the NYPD should have “clear ground rules, usable ground rules,” on when to enact arrests during protests. When asked about those ground rules Friday, the NYPD and the Mayor’s Office pointed to guidance released on Thursday detailing how protests inside COVID-19 hot-zones would be policed.

“What we have here is something where we absolutely must have consistency of response,” Mayor Bill de Blasio told reporters on Thursday.

“We have to ensure that all communities are treated the same way.”

The US is becoming a police state.   Like other strong arm nations the US now has police that are an occupying army whose function is to keep the status quo for the dictating wealthy powers.    These police are abusing every right and our very own constitution.  Notice they attacked and charged someone for filming them.  For recording their abuses.   That is a crime now to record police breaking the laws on public streets?   Notice the police officer in charge dressed in a white shirt was swearing at the protestors yelling you fuckers have picked the wrong people to mess with, and calling them insulting and derogatory names.   The police are now demanding instant respect or you are arrested, held for a long time, and maybe just released, as if it is a game to the police.   The police are now taking it on themselves to assign punishments, why wait for due process and the legal system.   This is what they have been doing to POC all along, now they are doing it to everyone openly and with anger and pride.   So much for serve and protect, now the police are acting like rulers and thugs.   The police have become violent gangs taking over.

On a side note remembered all those 2nd amendment people claiming they need their guns to stand up to the fascist government take over to deny them their rights?   Well here it is , happening on video in front of them.  Where are these people to stop the police gangs?   They are with the police gangs, the fascist cops, cheering on the denying of civil rights and the destruction of legal protections.    Hugs

GOP-backed Senate candidate Lauren Witzke appeared in a video for a white nationalist website to push racist tropes

Republican Senate candidate Lauren Witzke is continuing her outreach to white nationalists by promoting her campaign in a video interview with the white nationalist site VDare. The Delaware Republican Party has continued backing Witzke despite her appeals to far-right extremists.

Witzke is running for the U.S. Senate in Delaware against incumbent Democratic Sen. Chris Coons. As Media Matters and others have documented, Witzke has frequently interacted with white nationalists and anti-Semites during her campaign. She has also praised the violent neo-fascist Proud Boys for helping her campaign.

Additionally, Witzke is a supporter of QAnon, the violence-linked conspiracy theory that started on message boards and has been labeled a potential domestic terror threat by the FBI.

The Delaware Republican Party and Chair Jane Brady have been supporting her campaign. Brady told Delaware Public Media last month that Witzke has “shown great energy, she’s very bright, and she’s worked very hard. And she’s earned the support of the party.”

One of Witzke’s main policy plans is “a full 10-year moratorium on all immigration,” a proposal that is also supported by VDare, an anti-immigrant white nationalist site. The Southern Poverty Law Center states that VDare “regularly publishes articles by prominent white nationalists, race scientists and anti-Semites.”

During the nearly 26-minute interview, Witzke and Brimelow primarily talked about immigration. She also pushed false white nationalist tropes, including stating:

  • “We are bringing in people from Third World countries. We are bringing in cartel members and we’re doing it 100% legally.”
  • “People are so worried about being called, you know, labeled a ‘white supremacist’ when, you know, we are giving our country away to foreigners. They are dismantling our culture, they’re taking down our historical monuments. They’re voting against our interests.”
  • “We see that in [Rep.] Ilhan Omar’s [D-MN] district, you know, a district of refugees, they elected, you know, a Third World dictator, is what they did. And now it looks like the Third World.”

Media Matters contacted the Delaware GOP and Brady for comment but did not receive a reply from them as of posting.

Shortly after contacting the state party and Brady, Media Matters received an email from Witzke stating: “America is tired of Communist media outlets like CNN and the rest absurdly smearing Americans who want to limit immigration — including African Americans, Cubans, and Jews — as white nationalists or somehow fringe. Protecting the rule of law and our southern border is as American as apple pie.”

The culture in the US is and always has been a culture of accepting immigrants and blending other cultures into the existing one.   The melting pot.   The problem now is the white supremacists are not worried about culture, they appropriate other cultures as the rest of us do, but they are worried about demographics shifts and their loss of majority.   Hugs

Trump Wants $5 Billion From TikTok Deal for History Project

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-09-20/trump-wants-5-billion-from-tiktok-deal-for-new-history-project

President Donald Trump said Saturday he wants $5 billion from companies creating a new U.S.-based TikTok venture directed toward teaching American children “the real history of our country.”

Trump said Saturday that he had approved a transaction between Oracle Corp.Walmart Inc. and ByteDance Ltd. to create a new company called TikTok Global to run the U.S. video-sharing app. As part of the arrangement, Trump told reporters at the White House the companies agreed to contribute $5 billion to an education foundation.

Later, during a campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Trump said “we’re going to be setting up a very large fund for the education of American youth.”

He told his rally audience that in conversation with leaders of the companies, he said “do me a favor, could you put up $5 billion into a fund for education, so we can educate people as to real history of our country — the real history, not the fake history.”

On Thursday, Trump delivered a speech at the National Archives in Washington, in which he attacked the 1619 Project, a school curriculum created by the New York Times that orients American history from the date the first slaves arrived in the country.

Trump said that in response, he would create “a national commission to promote patriotic education” that he calls the “1776 commission.”

The next day, Trump spoke by phone with Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison and Walmart Chief Executive Officer Doug McMillon. He told them he still wanted the government to receive a payment as part of a deal, according to two people familiar with the matter.

ByteDance first heard about the $5 billion education fund from news reports, a company spokeswoman said.

Trump’s proposed “1776 Commission” has alarmed many Democrats, who fear the president is seeking to diminish or obscure the role of slavery in U.S. history.

“We will stop the radical indoctrination of our students and restore patriotic education to our schools,” he said at the rally. “Patriotic education,” he repeated, describing it as teaching children “to love our country, honor our history and always respect our great American flag.”

Trailing Joe Biden in polls ahead of his re-election, Trump has made explicit appeals to White voters, including repeated promises to keep low-income housing out of suburban areas.

Trump Supporters Disrupt Early Voting in Virginia

A group of Trump supporters waving campaign flags disrupted the second day of early voting in Fairfax, Va., on Saturday, chanting “four more years” as voters entered a polling location and, at one point, forming a line that voters had to walk around outside the site.

County election officials eventually were forced to open up a larger portion of the Fairfax County Government Center to allow voters to wait inside away from the Trump enthusiasts.

Election officials said that the group stayed about 100 feet from the entrance to the building and, contrary to posts on social media, were not directly blocking access to the building. But they acknowledged that some voters and polling staff members felt intimidated by what some saw as protesters.

“Citizens coming into and leaving the building did have to go by them,” Gary Scott, the general registrar of Fairfax County, said in a statement. “Those voters who were in line outside of the building were moved inside and we continued operations. Some voters, and elections staff, did feel intimidated by the crowd and we did provide escorts past the group. One of the escorts was the county executive.”

Bryan Graham, the chairman of the Fairfax County Democrats who was also at the polling center, saw it differently, writing on Twitter that “the Republicans are straight-up attempting to intimidate voters at the government center.”

In an interview, Mr. Graham said he’d “never seen or heard of anything like this happening before.”

“I was there when the county executive was there and I saw him walk multiple people through the crowd because they didn’t feel safe,” Mr. Graham said. “I don’t think it’s appropriate. We shouldn’t be doing things to make people feel unsafe.”

Steve Descano, the county attorney, did not directly address the demonstration in a statement posted to Facebook on Saturday, but said that he was “instructing my office to pursue cases of voter intimidation that may occur.”

Virginia election law states that it is illegal to “hinder or delay a qualified voter in entering or leaving a polling place,” and that it is also prohibited to perform any kind of political advocacy within 40 feet of any entrance to a polling place.

Videos of the demonstrators quickly went viral on social media, and show them gathering outside the entrance, holding up Trump campaign signs and chanting as voters walked past them.

Trump Cultists Intimidate Virginia Early Voters [VIDEO]

Thugs and gangs, this is what the tRump cult is now.   Laws do not matter nor does fair play.   Only their power and right to power.  They are a rude minority acting as if they were the only ones that matter in the country.   Hugs
